Is my video uploaded?
No. Your video is analysed and edited on your PC and never uploaded. Glimmer only contacts its license server, for the free trial and your key. What it sends.
Do I need a gaming graphics card?
No. A graphics card makes it faster, but Glimmer also works without one.
Will it overwrite my edits?
No. Run again and the clips you touched stay. You can also choose to start fresh.
Does Glimmer use generative AI?
No. No generative AI looks at your video or picks, writes or changes anything. Clips are chosen by how loud and excited you are, what you say and what happens on screen. The only model is a small speech-to-text program on your PC (Whisper) that types out your words.
Which games work?
Any. Presets help for common types, and you can box the death or victory screens of your own game.
How much does Glimmer cost?
Free for 10 hours of analysis, about 3 to 4 streams. After that you need a license: a one-time key for 15 EUR. The free hours need an internet connection when you analyse or export; with a key, Glimmer works offline.
What does Glimmer need to run?
Windows 10 or 11. A graphics card is optional: it makes things faster, but it works without one.
Does it work with Twitch and YouTube streams?
Yes, with any video file saved on your PC. Twitch stream markers are supported, and you get subtitles and 9:16 shorts from the same run.
Can I export to Premiere or DaVinci Resolve?
Yes. Besides a finished video, Glimmer saves your edit as a file (XML or EDL) for your own editor, and subtitles as a text file (SRT).
