Export your highlight timeline to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Get a first cut in minutes, then finish it in the editor you already use. One tick in the export dialog gives you an edit file next to the video.
Which file do I get?
| Your editor | File | Name |
|---|---|---|
| Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve | XML | <name> - Premiere Pro + DaVinci Resolve.xml |
| Other editors | EDL | <name> - Other editors (EDL).edl |
| Subtitles | SRT | Subtitles tab, Export .srt |
How do I export?
Edit
Fix the timeline in Glimmer.
Export
Tick “Also save an edit file for”.
Find it
In the Edit files folder.
Import
Open the XML or EDL file in your editor. They are standard edit files.
What comes across?
- Every clip, in your order
- Video and audio linked
- Same size as the exported video
- Hype-word clips carry a marker
- Shorts: XML, SRT and EDL per short
What should I know?
| Limit | Why |
|---|---|
| Do not move the source video | The edit file points at it |
| Clips under 1 s are left out | Too short to use |
| No edit file with burned-in subtitles | It describes the edit without them |
| EDL has video cuts only | That is how EDL works |
